  1. Eat Mother Nature’s food

Whole grains

*          Ezekial bread (from sprouted grains) and yeast-free sourdough bread are good choices.

*          Raw, unsalted nuts and seeds. Almonds are best.  Soak five almonds in water overnight and eat them for breakfast. This activates enzymes and is very healthy.

*          Dairy products are mucous forming. Try eliminating all dairy for a week and see if your health improves.  Goat’s milk is better than cow’s milk. If you can’t get dairy products from a farmer in its natural raw state you may want to leave them off the grocery list.  Homogenized and pasteurized dairy is a big culprit for respiratory illnesses and allergies, especially for children.

 *         Substitute your table salt with sea salt.

*         Eat meat in moderation - not everyday. Fish (that have scales and fins), chicken, turkey, lean steak from organic sources is best.

*          Organic eggs are good.

*          Beans, lentils and peas are healthy.

*          Raw honey, molasses and stevia are good sweeteners. Use stevia if you have blood sugar issues.

2.         75% of your diet should consist of nature’s food

Fruits and vegetables (organic if possible). Eat foods made by nature,

not man. If it won’t spoil, nature didn’t make it. Living foods contain enzymes. Cooking over 118 degrees destroys nutritional value and enzymes needed for digestion. If you keep two meals and your snacks in the “Nature’s Food” category then you can afford to splurge on one meal.

3.         Keep your pH (Saliva) balanced

Your body functions best when the pH of the saliva is 6.8-7.0. Eating raw fruits and vegetables will help you achieve this. All herbs are alkaline forming foods.  Fresh squeezed lemon in your water is alkalizing.  Use our pH Enhancer formula in your drinking water to ensure you are drinking alkalized healthy water.  It contains modified sodium silicate and just a few drops really helps get the pH up. Every healthy person knows that their body needs lots of water, but we want healthy alkalized water.  Most bottled water is acidic.

4.      Proper elimination

The body will be dis-eased if it doesn’t eliminate the wastes efficiently and regularly.  2-3 bowel movements every day is a must for energy and well being and no headaches.  Raisins and prunes are natural laxatives.  All fresh fruit helps the bowels move especially when consumed in the morning for breakfast. Many people do well to eat fresh fruit until 12 noon.  This keeps the bowels healthy. Eating heavy cooked foods like biscuits, muffins, pancakes, french toast, milk with cereal causes the bowels to become sluggish.  Your body goes through an elimination cycle every morning and fresh fruits assist in cleansing.  Cooked foods clog up the bowels. Chronic diarrhea is often times constipation in disguise.  Aloe vera juice, cascara sagrada, senna and psyllium husk powder are good natural laxatives.

5.         No soft or diet drinks or artificial sweeteners

Use raw honey or molasses for sweeteners.  If you have diabetes or blood sugar issues you need to use stevia for a sweetener.  Stevia is an herb from South America that is 200 times sweeter than sugar with 0 calories. It actually helps regulate the blood sugar. Artificial sweeteners cause cancer by interfering with cellular activity.  They also cause blood sugar disturbances.  Carbonated drinks block calcium absorption in the body and are very acidic (pH 2).  If you have arthritis get off carbonated beverages.

6.         No microwaves

Radiation causes cancer. That is why there are warning signs in x-ray rooms and radiation clinics for cancer. Microwaves are radiation ovens that destroy nutritional value of food. Eating microwaved food has been shown to alter your blood chemistry, favoring cancer.  Unnatural radiolytic compounds are formed from using microwaves.  Dr. Hans Hertzel has proven microwaving food to be dangerous and a risk for cancer. For more information look up http://www.mercola.com/article/mircowave/hazards2.htm. Do not radiate your food and then ask God to bless it to nourish and strengthen your body.  You might as well set a gallon of gasoline on the table and ask him to turn it into grape juice as long as you have that kind of faith!  Think before you swallow.  We can’t make stupid decisions like jumping off the roof of a building and then pray to God to save us. We live in a world of cause and effect. The way your food is prepared affects your health. Be responsible.

7.         Drink clean, purified water

Don’t drink tap water containing chlorine and fluoride.  Natural spring water is best. Reverse osmosis is a better solution than tap water. Distilled water is good when doing a cleanse.

8.         Limit your consumption of sugar & processed food

Read labels and stay away from ingredients you can’t pronounce. (Breyers Icecream – vanilla for example has 5 ingredients whereas some of the cheaper stuff lists 25 artificial ingredients. These chemicals were never meant to be put in the body. After years of consumption they accumulate in the body and interfere with cellular activity.  If you choose to eat some sweets and processed foods occasionally, then eat the ones that have ingredients in them that you know are foods and can pronounce, like Breyers.  Balance is the key to health and if you eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables then you can probably tolerate some processed foods occasionally and do fine.  Remember, respect the temple God has blessed you with.  It is sacred and you only have one.  There are no trade–ins like we are privileged of doing with automobiles when they no longer meet our expectations.  Be wise, live long and prosper! Sometimes people complain about every time they eat a certain type of food like cheap cherry ice cream it gives them a sore throat.  Obviously there is a chemical in it that irritates some.  Stay away from the foods that irritate delicate cells.

9.         Cook with garlic, ginger, turmeric & onions often

These foods are powerful immune system chargers and help maintain health and prevent imbalances that result in illness.  They are food medicines that keep you strong, healthy and balanced.  They help keep your immune system charged so you don’t catch colds and other dis-ease. They are Mother Nature’s antibiotics without the adverse side effects. They are antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal.  In parts of Russia where people can’t afford medicine, garlic is referred to as “Penicillin.”  Eating a couple of cloves a day keeps the doctor away and maybe your friends too. Ha!  If it keeps you healthy when others are sick and miserable then who cares right?  Eat it liberally when cold and flu season hits.  A vegetable stew with lots of garlic keeps the immune system healthy and balanced, ready to fight any trouble maker that comes to your neighborhood when needed.

10.       Eat meat sparingly

Meat takes a lot of energy to break down and it produces uric acid.  If you have arthritis or gout stay away from meat. Eat lots of vegetables and fruits, especially fresh cherries.  Uric acid can accumulate in the joints and cause inflammation and pain.  Many Americans get up in the morning and have a sausage biscuit for breakfast, a hamburger for lunch, and spaghetti and meatballs for dinner.  They eat meat three times a day.  This is way too much.  Eating meat two or three times a week is a healthier choice.  Some diabetics who can’t tolerate fruit because of the sugars do well by eating fish or other lean meats and vegetables daily. Some people do very well leaving meat out completely.  Other people tend to do better with some meat in moderation.  There are exceptions to every rule. We focus on finding what works best for you as an individual.  The “Eat Right 4 Your Type - Blood Type Diet” can be very valuable wisdom for some.

11.       Breathe deeply

Oxygenate those 100 trillion cells in your body.  Breathe in through your nose as deep as you can 50 times a day.  Dr. Otto Warburg won the Nobel Prize for discovering that cancer cells can’t survive where there is oxygen.

“All chronic pain, suffering and diseases are caused from a lack of oxygen at the cell level.” Arthur C. Guyton, M.D.

12.       Avoid drinking with meals

Drinking water, juice etc., with meals dilutes digestive juices.  Wait 30 minutes before or after a meal to drink liquids.  Chew each bite of food at least 30 times before swallowing.  Chewing your food and mixing it with enzymes in your saliva is the first step in digestion.

13.       Get enough sleep

Most people need 8 hours every night.  Give your body what it needs.  Remember sleep is healing.  Get up when you are rested and go to bed when you are tired.  Exercise and hard labor makes you sleep well at night.  Some Americans don’t sleep well because they don’t do anything all day long. Sorry, but watching TV is in the same category of not doing anything.  Usually the earlier you go to bed the better.  The body rests best before midnight. Sleep studies indicate that for every hour you sleep before midnight it is equivalent to two hours of sleep after midnight. Remember, early to bed and early to rise, makes one wise.

14.       Avoid aluminum cookware

Aluminum is linked to Alzheimer’s and nervous system disorders. Most restaurants cook with aluminum pots and pans.

15.       Do a liver, kidney, gallbladder & spleen cleanse once a year

You take your car in and change the oil every 3,000 miles and tune it up right?  How about giving your body a tune-up?  Dandelion, nettles, goldenrod, milk thistle, artichoke leaf, boldo, uva ursi, juniper, corn silk, burdock and parsley are good for these organs.  A 30 day cleanse with 50 drops three times a day with our KLS-Plus formula tunes things up.  This is preventative medicine, only a fool waits until he or she starts having symptoms to take action.  A CEDSA exam will tell us which herbs are best for your body chemistry at this time.

16.       Fast once a month (no food for 24 hrs, water only)

After God created the earth in six days He then rested of His labors. Sunday is a good day to let your digestive system rest of their labor by fasting for 24 hours.  Control the desires of the flesh by giving up food for a day and be spiritually enlightened. This keeps your priorities in check and realigns what goals you have.  Give your digestive system and body a break from working so hard all the time breaking down all the junk we eat and drink.  If your cells could talk they would tell us that they are over-worked and underpaid.  They need a break occasionally just like you do. Fasting gives them a rest. Be glad you don’t have to fast 40 days like Christ did.

17.       Fast and do a colon cleanse every year

It is believed that all dis-ease starts in the colon.  Eat only fresh fruits and vegetables.  Juicing is very healthy.  Take psyllium husk and Bentonite clay shakes several times a day along with Chomper and Herbal Nutrition herbal formulas.  Dr. Richard Anderson’s Arise & Shine Cleansing program is very effective. Most of us do well to cleanse for 21 days, with the last 3 days having water only, no food.  This takes self-discipline but you reap what you sow.  This is a good insurance policy for the body.  It’s a great way to lose a few extra pounds put on over the holidays and boost up your immune system so you don’t catch the next onslaught of cold viruses that come your way.  When I did my first cleanse I had 8 large bowel movements every day.  The old fecal matter (mucoid plaque) that came out looked like black strands of tires off the highway. And I thought I was healthy and in good shape, little did I know my intestinal tract was way overdue for a cleanse. See ariseandshine.com for more information

18.       Do a parasite cleanse every year

Microscopic parasites are everywhere.  These little guys set up shop in your body and steal your nutrition.  They can interfere with the functions of organs and glands, especially the liver, gallbladder, ileo-cecal valve, intestinal tract and appendix.  We de-worm our pets and animals but somehow think we humans are immune. If you had a microscope everywhere you went to see the ‘unseen’ universe of microbes every where it would shock you.  No one is 100 % immune to parasites.  If you have pets you are at high risk. Pets lick their hind ends and eat fecal matter and then you come home from work and kiss and love on them because the two of you have missed each other so much. Animals clean themselves with their tongues, they are not civilized. The bottom line is animals and humans get parasites. Do a parasite cleanse once a year.

19.       Get chiropractic adjustments regularly

Adjustments keep your spine aligned.  Life is traumatic and a good adjustment keeps pressure off nerves that correspond to every organ and gland in the body. Headaches can be triggered by pinched nerves as well as every other symptom you can think of. If you have back or neck pain go get an adjustment, not a prescription for pain medication.

20.       Get a massage periodically

Massage is a great stress releaser.  Most of us need stress release and a massage can help you relax.  It is very effective for helping the lymphatic system drain toxins as well.  Some headaches and joint pain are caused by tight muscles.  Relaxing those muscles with massage can sometimes be the magic touch that heals. The laying on of hands is healing. A good massage and chiropractic adjustment can make you feel like a new person. Pain disappears when vertebraes line up and tight muscles are relaxed.

21.       Use real butter, not margarine

Once again stay away from artificial junk that the body can’t metabolize. These artificial ingredients were never meant to be put in the body. Margarine is one molecule away from plastic and probably just as toxic. Read the ingredients on what you buy.  If it says hydrogenated oil or partially hydrogenated oil avoid it. If it is solid at room temperature then it stays solid in the body. Artificial fats and oils are what block arteries and cause heart disease.  They cause an immune response that in turn leads to arteriosclerosis, plaque build-up, etc. Use real butter, organic of course is better.

22.       Drink 16 oz of water upon arising every morning

Hydrate your 100 trillion cells after sleeping all night.  They need water to function and clean up.  Try washing your car or the dishes without water.  Water is a cleanser and most Americans are severely dehydrated.  If you wait until you are thirsty to drink water, you are way to late.  The bowels have a tough time moving when they are dried up.  Give your body water so it can function and clean with.  Imagine living in a house with no running water.  Your toilets and sinks need water to clean and so do all 100 trillion cells in your body.

23.       Do not use nonstick cookware

These chemicals absorb into your food from the pan and cause health problems.  Use stainless steal or earthen cookware.

24.       Stay away from “fat free” products

Fat-free and sugar-free means they have created a chemical to taste like what you want it to but it’s actually just a combination of chemicals that cause stress and interfere with cellular function.  There’s a price to be paid for everything you choose to put in your mouth.  What you don’t know may kill you if you keep doing it ignorantly.

25.       Forgive those who have trespassed you

By holding on to anger, resentment, bitterness, hurt or a grudge of any sort you are not hurting the other person, you are only hurting yourself.  We are commanded to forgive so we can set ourselves free.  It is good to forgive others and be nice and kind for their benefit, however, it is more important to forgive so that we liberate ourselves from negative emotions. By holding on to negativity we usually hurt ourselves the most.  Quit worrying about what others say and do and release your own trash.  Or better said, take the beam out of your own eye first and stop making others wrong.

“The necessity of teaching mankind not to take drugs and medicines, is a duty incumbent upon all who know their uncertainty and injurious effects; and the time is not far distant when the drug system will be abandoned.”  Charles Armbruster, M.D.
